Concord Township Critters
Concord Township, Delaware County, Ohio

The following are photos taken in Concord Township, Delaware County, Ohio and the surrounding area during 2007 and 2008.
My abode, Moose Acres, is in a semi-rural area North of Dublin Ohio, and has two acres of lawn with large established trees. 1/3-acre is maintained as a "grasslands', with no mowing. There is a large deciduous wooded area across the street, and a smaller evergreen wooded area behind the property. The neighborhood is mixed rural/suburban. Also within Concord Township is the Twin Lakes Wildlife Reserve, a part of O'Shaughnessy Metro Park. A few miles away to the Southwest is Glacier Ridge Metro Park.
Most of these photos were taken with a Nikon D80 digital SLR with the Nikkor 70-300 VR zoom lens. In 2008, I have replaced that camera with a pair of Nikon D300 digital SLRs, and some new lenses: Nikon 200-400mm f4 VR Zoom, 70-200mm f2.8 VR Zoom, 105mm f2.8 VR Macro, and TC-14EII and TC-17EII teleconverters.
Please note that I began doing this collection of photos with the intent to include pretty much every photo I shot. As the number and quality of photos has increased, I have not gone back to delete the older, less good photos. When time allows, I plan to reduce these pages to the best five or ten photos of each critter.
Click on any of these thumbnails to see a slideshow of other photos of that type of critter.
